Fosse's Added DialogueI remember from seeing the filmed production of Pippin that Fosse added large amounts of dialogue to the script, such as a sequence with Catherine and Theo involving the malaprop "water over the bridge," and a cheerful recounting of the causalties of various wars during Glory.
Does anyone know these lines? Or any others he added?
Also, anyone who has the Pippin AIDS Day audio or video, can you type up the Pippin and Rod The Head and Pippin and John Tartaglia the Headless Man scenes? I remember them being hysterical, but can't remember specific lines.

None of it is- it was all added against the writer's consent. Hence, its absence from the script. But much of it is hysterical, and commonly considered "canon" in small productions due to Fosse's creative license taken with the show.

I have the current MTI version of the show..with the dumb theo ending...and the head dialkouge and the water under/over the bridge is all in there.

Then they've finally revised the script.

yes they did. unfortunately the Theo ending is rather tacky. I much prefer the 3 questions ending.

I just saw it last night at my former university.
They did a wonderful job with it, but as is with most productions now, since the revised script, it was the Theo ending.

Well, as a director, I say the new ending with Theo makes sense. But no, I do not like it because it does feel very tacked-on. In looking at the script, I actually would end it right after "Trapped...but happy." And I would delete the curtain call.
That's just me.
The added dialogue is good, especially necessary depending on what you are going for with the show. With mine, I found taking a "new" Pippin from the audience is faulty because "Hey, he knows the songs AND dialogue and conviction ALREADY!" Instead I'd go the Fosse route and add a line of harmless dialogue "Tonight is his first night playing the role, let's be generous with him."
Something like that. This is one of my favorite shows and all-time favorite to stage by far. I haven't directed but I've been in it once as King Charles and Assistant Directed/Stage Managed another time. That time was my favorite because I was able to suggest those changes, except for the "No curtain call" bit because they didn't want the show to end so darkly.

The Theo thing makes sense.
The part of "it's his first time" was irony in our show because our Pippin (who was pretty darn good considering no voice lessons and drama instruction - he was in my acting class though, but will graduate soon!) - it was his first time ever on my school's stage...and his second show ever! (first being eighth grade in "Newsies" but everyone had to do that)
