It was mainly about Phantom. It had some great clips of Monday night, some clips of the JCS video and Cats video (Memory). Wasn't that exciting, but worth the watch!

It's abbeycat, I believe. Smile I remember seeing some awesome pictures a while ago of her in an authentic wig and unitard with her face painted up beautifully. You should have been in CATS, abbeycat... really. Wink
Misto

I wanna see those pics! I think abbeycat posted at macavity.org as Electra and sold a costume there (although it said that it was fan-made). It did have a link to some pics, but when the costume was sold, it was taken down. Also, out of interest, what character was the wig and costume?

Misto
abbeycat

um, questions!!eek!

yes its me in the avatar! (in a london gumbie wig that i styled like electra as the gumbie rolled ears arent really my style, lol!can be fully reverted back though, dont panic!) i really should change it soon!

thats such a lovely thing to say, thankyou!

yes at macavity my name is electra and i did sell a cossie that i painted myself as a little project for textiles but never finished it, it was based on electra of 1993, if you want i will send you the pics of it.I have yet to see what has become of that uni and indeed how well it has turned out.

the pics Cassandra's referring to are of me in a mish mash costume, gumbie wig, griz uni and legwarmers from Bill Bailey (my teacher was in Cats for 6 years so guess who got the hand me downs, im still trying to persuade her to part with her Jellylorum cossie and wig but alas not yet!!)

here are a few of them:
(trying a 'Bomb/munk' pose)
(in colour)
(inspired by old deuteronomy song playing in background at time)
last one ,i promise! yes im showing off!lol! Cool

Those pictures are beautiful! You really should be in Cats! I would really appriciate those pics! It would be interesting to see what has become of your Electra costume. It would be so cool if your dance teacher was in Cats! You are so lucky! (so many random sentences and exlimation marks!)

Those are the pics! Very Happy

So pretty....

Kitty...

I have to agree with your fans so far. You make a stunning Electra, which is what your cossie appears to be patterned after.

wow...you are now on my "People to look up to" list....which is mostly everyone who's been such sweethearts to me and/or have a gift with making things and are still nice.
Etcetera Kitten

I was reading the comments, and I must say that you are beautiful, Abbeycat! That wig is awesome, and your make-up is a piece of art. Looks like you can dance over that! Well well, sorry for getting out of topic here Razz
abbeycat

awww, shucks, you guys!! *blushes* thanks so much for the comments, it really lifted my day!
wearing the pieces of authentic cossie i realised how much Electra and Griz look alike in terms of base unitard, so it became a grown up Electra, my poor cats ran a mile when i was parading around in it at home, lol!(also noticed how much Electra and Mungo look alike too hmmm...)
my best mate has just got the Cats UK tour (so hopefully more cossie bits to come, and the chance to audition for the cast change again! i think hes a bit disappointed as the Italian Duet has been cut but its not like hes Griddlebone, lol)yes it was amazing having teachers as ex jellicles, especially the fact that one of them was the second london 'Victoria' and was with the show for 6 years and played Demeter,Jelly, Jenny,Jemima,Griz, and Rumple but covered nearly all parts, also various ex kittens etc i got to know the whole show from these teachers, even the bits that had been cut/changed, so much history to be learnt and what better way to learn than first hand.wow!

back to the subject (as i seem to have digressed and i dont want people thinking im an ego)quite a week for musical lovers! all those non UKers in non BBC areas didnt really miss much tonight with the musicals show that was on and mentioned in an earlier post i think by Spatzthecat, apart from Ruthie Henshall and John Barrowman i didnt really enjoy it that much, plus most of the songs were butchered by pop celebrities trying too hard to make the songs sound like pop songs, MISTO! did you catch it? what did you think? Confused
Misto

I did see it. I thought "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" was the best, but I would only give it 7/10. Not as good as I expected. Memory was TERRIBLE! And btw, John Barrowman was on Dancing On Ice on ITV tonight. He came second to Bonnie Langford AND Jason Gardiner was a judge!

Misto
abbeycat

you've gotta love Dancing on Ice! I love John Barrowman, i couldnt believe how many ex jellicles they could line up, Jason, Bonnie and robin cousins!! (ice skater/coach/judge and ex munkustrap from tour 93!) wow, i was in jellicle overload! lol!
Belle

Gah! I so wanted to watch that tonight - but went and saw Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens instead... was soooooo good...

Is Dancing On Ice running a weekly behind-the-scenes type program as well?
abbeycat
