Finding Nemo - The Musical

Has anyone seen this, it's at Disney's Animal Kingdom, in Walt Disney World in Florida

I saw it on my trip to WDW (just 3 weeks ago) it is amazing, I really hope they expand it into a full Broadway show!

Rumor is that the whole thing being at AK actually IS a test to see if people like it enough to take it to broadway. Personally, I just want it to stay here so I can continue to enjoy it. Laughing Lol. I love it.

What the song Dory (sp?) sings when they are sprilling up side down?
Sweeney Hyde

I hate this show.

It made me throw up in my mouth a little.

I'm not even being a theatre snob here.

I saw it with about 10 other kids, who aren't involved with theatre at all.

They all hated it too.

I've only seen some previews of it, but compared to the stage adaptions of The Little Mermaid and Tarzan it actually looks kind of...Cool. At least visually. Smile

That was the only good thing about it. Some of the costumes were pretty neat. But that's Disney anymore for you.

I love the flying / swimming / puppetry of the show.
belloftheball

I saw this last January and loved it, as did the other 17 teens I was with. The puppetry and just the visuals in general were great.
Of course, I love Finding Nemo the movie, so I'm biased.
I got the CD off of iTunes. Changes have been made, but it's still worth it.
Who knows? Maybe we'll see it on Broadway someday.

"Just Keep Swimming."

And what changes have they made bell? I've got the cd too, and the lyrics are the same. Its just different performers is all. Smile

There's a slight change in the "that's my dad" song when Marlin finds Nemo, on the CD Nigel tells Nemo his dads found him and Nemo starts singing "That's my dad, I knew all along" But in the show, he says "no that can't be him" Nigel says "Marlin, the little clownfish from the reef" Then Nemo sings "that's my dad"

Does Disney on Ice count as seeing it? xD

I havent seen Finding Nemo, dont plan to Sad I'm in Australia so yeah, kind of hard to Very Happy
wicked_diva

I haven't seen it, but I love the CD. I'd really like a production to be done at Disneyland. I've never been to Disneyworld.

There was a couple from Australia behind us in the line for the shark reef (swimming with sharks) in Typhoon Lagoon. I was like, can't you do this at home, you're Australian!

Oh right. Well, most cds don't include ALL the dialogue. Wink There are several scenes not on the CD to make the songs a bit shorter. Its the same way with most soundtracks, lots of dialogue is removed from it. But lyrically, they are no changes to my knowledge, thats what I meant.

And noooo, the ice show does NOT count! The musical is WAY too amazing. Wink
