Finally!I have loved this show since it first came out. I was ten when Daisy Eagan won the Tony at age eleven. It was the first professional show I saw on the stage.
The story is magical, the music is beautiful, and to sum it up I LOVE THIS SHOW!
Well, when community theatre started doing this show I was in my early teens - too old for Mary and too young for any other part in the show. I was so bummed!
Well, FINALLY I am going to get a chance to be in my all-time favorite show!! A theatre company in town will be doing The Secret Garden in March, and now I'm at the perfect age for Martha (who I am dying to be!) or any of the other dreamers!
YAY!!!!! FINALLY!!

Don't be sad if you end up a dreamer. They have so so much to do...being a former dreamer myself I can say from experience that being in the chorus of this show is a blast!

Agreed, sorta. I'd love to play as Holmes, but I wouldn't want to be a "carbon copy Dreamer" again.

Oh, I know!
I know this show backwards and forwards. I directed a shortened version of the show for my senior project, I own the script and the full vocal/piano score. I wouldn't care what part I got, as long as I was in the show.
Auditions are October 30th. I really want to be Martha, or Rose would be my second choice. Rose sings in Quartet and a few other duets/trios throughout the show.
I love Quartet, it is probably one of my favorite songs in the show!
