FINALLY seen it!

I'm surprised at how slow this board is, because having now seen this show I am happy to say its the best show I've ever seen! The scenery, setting, costumes, choreography, darker storyline, amazing ideas, wonderful music and singing etc.

Absolutely superb!

The only thing I noticed was that Admiral Boom was on stage several times but they never explained who he was or anything.

I'm happy that you liked it. I'm waiting for the national tour to start. Hopefully the traveling production will be as magical as the one on broadway! However, a quick question: Does the white and red dress/hat/parasol outfit Mary wears in the movie appear in the musical?

Sadly not, I love that outfit!

Instead, she and Bert wear pink ensembles:

Admiral Boom is a neighbour of the Banks. So is Mrs Willoughby (the lady carrying the dog).

Yes, I know who they are, but what I mean is that the stage show chose to include them, yet not to explain who they are. Admiral Boom wasnt even in it as much as his movie counterpart, and he looked more like Captain Birdseye.

Hmmm....I can't remember what they talked about. Probably something about the trouble the Banks were having getting a suitable nanny. I suppose they help move the story along whilst giving the principals time to get ready for the next scene.
