Cool though I do wish there were some bigger costume bits up at the moment (there doesn't seem to have been in a while now?!) like wigs or a uni, always cool to look at, especially the pics!

Lol well my dear if I ever come across anything like that you'd be the first to know! I'd like to purchase a wig or uni right now though, well depending. Too bad there isn't anything.
Saw that post about the German wigs and I'd bid if it were in English or available to the UK lol but it's not sooo it's out!

Interesting item... I wonder to which swing it belonged. I might give a try to win it ... not sure though. The Sillabub German wig went to high for me Crying or Very sad
Drumdraper

There really hasn't been much bug stuff for sale lately, excluding the Germna wigs. *sigh* Perhaps we have drained the authentic Cats costume storage vault.

Maybe when Troika closes in 2007 with their Cats tour the costumes will go on sale.

Ah yes, I can imagine it now: myself and friends, staring at a framed tail on the wall.

Me: And this is a genuine London Victor tail! Isn't it beautiful?

My friends would be like, 'It's... a piece of yarn. Get over it'

It went for a silly amount, £75! Most tails I have seen before go for around £30 max! Well congrats anyway to Pounce, I think it is, who won it! Cool
London_Mungojerrie

SadI didn't win it Sad

I put in a bid for about £74 though! I am gutted Sad I hope it went to a good home!

Aw well don't worry there will be plenty more, most for which you'll be able to get for a much much lower price anyway (like I said the usual being about £30)!

that's a lot for only a tail Shocked I could not follow the auction as I was on holidays, but I had never thought the price would climb so high.
Belle

I think it went sky-high because it was a LONDON tail. I think I've seen maybe one or two rope-style tails on Ebay, like, ever? And then only as part of a whole costume. It seems the tails are the one part of the costume the actors keep as a personal momento of the show, and the non-cast who get them don't realise their value.

Hopefully news will get round that "OMG that tail you're using as a bathroom light-pull is worth £75!" and a lot more will show up on Ebay in the next few months....

Belle is right i've only ever seen a Coricopat and Skimble London tail on ebay as part of a full costume. They are rare! And belle is totally right about the memento thing.

£75 might seem alot for a tail but if a London Mungojerrie one came up i'd be willing to pay £200
Mungostoffelees

I guess on ebay yeah. I was offered a few by an actor a while back for only £25-£30 each but the sale fell through in the end. Ah well.

LOL Belle laughing at the light switch comment there!!! Laughing Laughing Yeah be good to see few more though! If they were less sky high I'd happily bid on one! Cool Wink

LONDON CATS COSTUME &WIGS FOR SALE!

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to let you know that a very good friend of mine is selling his CATS costumes and wigs.

His name is Karl Morgan and here is pretty big in the west end theatre here in London.

He starred in the west end CATS and if you check out the film (sure you have!) he is in that too!!

I sold a full Demeter costume about 2 years ago and now i believe he has an entire costume and 2 wigs to sell. I think they are Carb & Mistoffeles.
He may also have special theatre programmes and stuff.

Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested so i can let him know & we can get some photos on here!!
