Female role questions

I just found out my university is doing this production in the spring, and I'm wondering if I even have a shot at a role .... Anyone have a history with this show, who could provide me some good info about the female roles?

[From my understanding, my college has at least two very good ingenue-type sopranos who can play more mature roles (so I'm thinking there go the Witch, the Baker's Wife, possibly Cinderella or Rapunzel). These girls are somewhat heavyset, however, so they might end up in motherly roles .... And I of course have no idea who's coming in with the new crop this year!]

I'll be a freshman. I am eighteen, and can look 14 to about 23. I'm a belter (and can affect a very "young" sound when in the alto-ish range), but when I use my legit soprano voice, I sound very mature, more like a Cinderella. I'm a decent dancer trained in ballet. I'm a very good actress, and excel with comedy. (Physically, I'm 5'5", blonde, slim, look very pretty onstage ... not to sound vain.)

I'm wondering if Red is an option? (How comedic is her role, how young is she supposed to seem?) And I'd kind of like to know more about the stepsisters.

I just got done with this show. I played Cinderella.

From what it sounds like, Little Red could defnitely be an option for you, especially if you excel at comedy as you said.

And the stepsisters are fun roles, but very small. I would definitely go for Little Red.

I second that Smile
She seems really fun to play... and even if you don't get her, every other female part in ITW has her high points too. This musical is incredible.
