Female monologue

Hey, my friend just asked me to help her find a monologue for her new acting class and thought I'd come on here for some added help. She's 19 but can seriously play any where from 18 to 30 and beyond. She said she wanted something that was both sad and funny and more than a little provocative. I'm trying to think of something perhaps from a Nicky Silver play because he writes some great stuff that's incredibly sad for the charecter yet hilarious for the audience and he is "more than a little provocative. Was also thinking fo "The House of Yes" but don't know of any real monologues in it. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Wow! Nicky Silver! I'm excited to meet another person that appreciates Nicky Silver! My favorite comedy (but very dark comedy) monologue is from "Fat Men in Skirts." She could look there. Also, if "The Little Dog Laughed" is out in print yet (it was performed at 2nd city just in january), that's got a female character who has a ton of biting wit but tells sort of a sad story about breaking up with her boyfriend who is actually gay.

I loooooove Nicky Silver. I swear I'm going to play Otto from The Food Chain one day and with the original ending. I don't think I'm fat enough to play him but I don't care. And which female charecter are you talking about from Fat Men in Skirts? I only know of the mother and the father's mistress since it was forever ago that I read it. I'll also tell her about Little Dog Laughed. Thanks.

Ehh i don't wanna give away too many more details about my favorite monologue cuz i've told you enough! It's one of the female characters from 'fat men in skirts.'
