Okay. I have a school paper where we got to research basically anything we wanted, and I chose RENT...I need and interview/personal account in order to get full credit, and all attempts to contact any of the original cast have failed.
This is where you come in, my fellow colleagues. I would be very grateful if even just one person answered these brief questions for me.

Hi. Noticed you hadn't got any replies yet - so I decided to be the first

1. Jade, 16 and Midlands, England.

2. I would consider myself a fan as I've watched the film so many times it's unbelivable (and cried at it a whole lot more. The song "Goodbye Love" always gets me going). I love the songs, and I know that it's my favourite ever musical, one that Ican reallly relate to.

3. The show reflects modern society quite well, and it goes onto the edges of society where most films don't venture. The darkened streets of America where people have aids, are gay and cross dress - some thing that people frown upon in modern society today.

4. I wouldn't say it has affected my views, apart from maybe it has strengthened them. I love every one of the people in these films - and it's so real that my heart reaches out for anyone that has AIDS/HIV, or is part of the GLBT community etc. I find it hard thought when people watch it with me, as usually they have the viewst that being Gay is wrong, or whatever, and so they don't like the film or the broadway musical. That really annoys me, as it is the most touching and powerful musical I have ever watched, and conveys such a strong message of what life was really like during the AIDS epidemic.
