Who is your Favorite character and why?

Mine is Dickon because he has such a happy, positive attitude when both his friends, Mary and Colin, are bratty and not very plesent, plus I love "When A Thing is Wick"!

I'm tied between Mary because she's such a brat, and Martha. Martha is almost always upbeat, cheerful and Mary confuses her because she's so different from Martha. And she gets cool songs and a neat accent.

But then again, Dickon and Neville rock too. Hmmmmm......

I had to give my vote to Martha. I love the accent, and she is just such a breath of fresh air. Wicked songs, too!

I'm biased, my daughter played Colin when she was 11 and it was a fabulous production. I actually like most all the characters, and you have to adore Archibald for all he goes through.

Salome is right! How could you leave out Dr. Nevile Creaven?!?!? He sings the best two songs of the whole score! ie Lily's Eyes and Quartet

Dickon, I am preparing to audition for him! I am working on my Yorkshire Accent, I got it down pretty good. I love his songs, I know they are going to be a hell of a challenge to sing. I WANT THIS ROLE!

What are you going to sing for Dickon? Don't do "Impossible Dream" That's what i did and, although i got a callback, i was a dreamer instead...it was the most fun i've ever had in a chorus though...

I am not completely sure yet, I am debating between several songs... I am trying to find a song that showcases my range, to show that I can hit Dickon's notes with ease. When I get back to my Voice Coach we'll look at some stuff.

Martha is my favourite character because her songs are the best EVER and she has the most (3) solo songs than anyone else in the entire play, even Mary who only has 1. I recenetly sang "Hold On" in my school's talent show and everyone said it was incredible so I'm just in love with the part of Martha right now.

She's so up beat and could make people laugh easily. I really enjoyed playing her last November (2006).

Yes, Neville is among the many great charcters in this show. He's an extremely complex and interesting one too.
