Well, when I was younger, I always wanted to play Dinah, but I like Rusty, he's so sweet, but also Greaseball coz he's funny and cool (lovin' those shades!) | ||

CB!!!!!!! that evil old red caboose. Why did they get rid of him in the 2nd version? bad idea! I know they brought him back in the new version, but not properly.
and on the topic of the new version.....why oh why do we have the hip hoppers instead of the rockies??????? |

Totally cringeworthy. Especially when they can't skate or sing. Although I believe we've been relieved of Johnny Can't-Skate Shentall now? They're on the same level as an Anglican vicar trying to 'get on down and with it' to attract young people to church. I think they should bring back Belle, and have some balance in the show - she's the female counterpart to Poppa, after all. And she has a great song. |

Dinah!!! Cos she has a fabulous song and a great accent  I dressed up as her for my fancy dress party, wheels and all, and sang U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D. Loved it, she's a dream role.

She's my kinda gal. Apparently she was NEARLY reinstated into the Bochum production recently, but they got cold feet at the last minute. SUCH a shame. |

1) Electra The first experiance I ever truly had w/ StEx was Belle metioning it, so I looked up StEx on YouTube. I ran into this. I emmediatly fell in love. Eeeeleeeeectraaaaaa... *giggles* 2)Greaseball I have no idea why I like him so much... But I ADORE "Pumping Iron". 3)CB/Caboose ZOMFG! I heart this crazy lil' guy! Public enemy number one forever! |

Soooo glad to see i'm not alone in that one! I have to admit the orgional show and charatcers were the best and i was really annoyed when i saw The new Starlight Express to see Belle and CB gone! Although Starlight Express 3rd Dimension was a clever idea for touring, but i miss it not being at Apollo Victoria with that fab set! Apolo victoria London is Starlight Express' Theatre (sorry Wicked fans! you need to be there a few years before it's truly yours!!) |

Five years ago, when Starlight moved out of the ApVic (and they had to, a structural survey showed the show -and set - was ripping the building apart), there was some talk of building a Bochum-style Starlighthalle inside the Battersea Power Station. Now how cool would THAT have been... massive, massive skate tracks and seating for thousands... it could've doubled as a venue for major pop concerts.
But alas, it never happened. |

The Dome nearly happened- Lloyd Webber proposed installing Starlight AS the millennium Dome Show, back in err.. 1997? 1998? in the planning. Had it happened they'd have closed in London and ran a huge spectacular for one year, then the show closed earlier than it did - in 2002.
However if the Dome were to become a super-casino - well, Starlight did run in in the Hilton, Las Vegas, for four years! The show touring the UK is essentially the Casino show. You can tell by the girls' costumes... |

Rhurgold and Prince of Wales, cos they are currently being played by 2 of my best friends..... going to see the show in edinburgh on saturday.. can't wait.
saw the original and was blown away but that was years and years ago!!! Around the time when Danny John Jules was one of the Rocky's!!! LOL Female part... Dinah.. just for U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D..... fantastic song!!!!
