Lily's my favorite. She has a lot of the best songs (especially "How Could I Ever Know"). Archibald is probably second favorite.

Lily!Dear Secret Garden Fans,
It's so easy to like Martha, because she's just so cool, and yet, Lily gets to be a strong-willed lady who gets to sing some of the prettiest notes in the entire musical.
I voted for Lily, although, if I were directing the musical, I would want for Lily to be portrayed as slightly less angelic than she has always been portrayed.
SPOILER ALERT!
I see Lily Craven as being a woman who lives for life. She and Archie have their "Knight and Lady" fantasy, but, for Lily, it's just pretend, because she's NOT actually that breakable, or that careful, of a lady. She is a TRUE lady, but she's not a decorative lady. I don't think that she WANTED to leave her tree, and I think that she's slightly frustrated with Archie, because he has given up on life just because she died, when, in fact, she was so lively, and so unconventional, that perhaps he should have been inspired by her, instead of being so depressed by her death.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Well.... Lily, because I played her.
I think the most interesting charcter is Neville. I adore "Lily's Eyes"

I chose Archie because I just admire how much depth one can bring to the character. And I love the song "Where in the World" because, though no one really close to me has died, I have lost love.

Neville Craven hands down. such a well drawn character.
and Robert Westenberg was perfection on broadway.

For once I agree with everything Salome said. Neville is by far my favorite character in the piece. Everyone loves a good villain, especially one whom you can hate and pity at the same time.
And Robert Westenberg? Well he's perfection in pretty much anything he does.

I adore Neville. I don't see him as a villain so much as a lonely, tortured individual for whom Mary stirs up very painful memories.
And Robert Westenberg is perfection, period.
