by animated do you mean the classics like snow white and the lion king,
or pixar like Toy Story and Cars or both |

Well, "Disney films" makes one think of films that were made by Disney, not marketed by Disney.
So that excludes Pixar imo. I know that Disney bought Pixar, but Disney never created them. And, it's a good thing, becuase after The Emperors New Groove and Lilo and Stitch, Disney films went down hill. Their first good animated film since then was Meet the Robinsons, which gave me new hope. And then Enchanted came out and it's clear that Disney has *hopefully* gotten back on track. I honestly can't say I have a favorite. I love them all too much for different reasons. Aladdin, The Lion King, The Emperors New Groove, Lilo and Stitch, Tarzan...I love them all. If I had to narrow it down, I'd probably have to go with Aladdin. |

I've always loved Beauty and the Beast. My mum tells me that when I was little, I quoted it constantly and wore a Belle costume to the supermarket. Last time I watched it was ages ago ... probably over a year, in fact. Eesh.
Now I want to watch it again! |

I like Pocahontas.
If you include Pixar, Bug's Life and both Toy Stories were awesome. |

The Lion King Trilogy, hands down.

pixar-the incredibles
animated- mulan, peter pan, pocahontas, aladdin, and snow white are ones that i went through obessions with as a child. and i always loved cinderella, the lion king, beauty and the beast, 101 dalmations, robin hood, and hercules. in my opinion, disney hasn't had a classic animated film since mulan. (i don't like tarzan) though i haven't seen enchanted...i don't know if that counts as animated or not. but i haven't seen it yet so i dunno if it's good. |

Lilo and Stitch is far better than Mulan, in my opinion. As is Tarzan. The animation in Tarzan is just incredible. The Emperors New Groove is also wonderful, animation wise, but it's not the typical classic Disney film. It's still an awesome movie, though.
The animation in Enchanted is absolutely fabulous. And, it really takes you back to the old Disney movies by having simple camera angles and flatter scenery. And, the use of lighter, slightly duller colors than those that are used these days also hints back at the older films. Meet the Robinsons is the best film to come strictly from Disney since Lilo and Stitch in 2002. The animation is some of the best in history, the characters are very lovable, the music is good. The films only downfall is that it stretched the story to fit the time frame. Really, the film would have done fine without the singing frog scene... The Incredibles is also animated...it's just done by Pixar...I'm guessing that was a typo, though. |

yeah, by animated i mean like...non-pixar/3d looking animated. i agree that the animation in tarzan is great, but i just don't like the story. i just don't like lilo and stitch either...but i can do a pretty good stitch impression! lol and yeah, i really need to see enchanted. i was going to, but i let my friends convince me to see beowulf instead...bad choice haha. i can't believe i forgot recess:school's out! it's kinda dumb but i love it. |

Duchess asks this question like every three months, lol.
Anyway, can't choose just one, but some of my favorites include The Sword In the Stone, The Little Mermaid, and Winnie the Pooh. |

Aladdin would most likely be my top favorite. I love it.
Other favorites of mine are The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Groove, Beauty and the Beast, and just about every single Disney film ever created. |

Oooh, I'll add that one to my list. Maleficent is the best villain ever. |

I like Mulan because you can convince your history teacher you need to watch it to understand Ancient China and sing I'll make a man out of you at the top of your lungs with the rest of the class.
But really. Lion King, Snow White, Pixar includes Nemo and Ratatouille |

I also love FANTASIA. The music is awesome, the visuals are stunning.
I heard that "Night on Bald Mountain" was largely animated by one guy. According to the story, because he did the lion's share of the work for that piece, he went insane and is/was in an asylum. Andy. |

the only problem with disney is that they are so unoriginal.
My English teacher always complains that they used all the names from The Tempest for the little mermaid, and for the Lion King Simba means Lion Pumbaa means warthog and Timon means mercat. All their stories come from some where else. But who cares. I still love them. |

In what language? And even so, that's not unoriginal at all. |
||||

Swahili
so its like if you were named Human. Your dog was named Dog. Your cat Cat. Our teacher just has a rant about it. Equivalent to the main character in our novel (Fahrenheit 451) being named Guy. There is nothing special about the characters. But i still love disney, no matter what. Disney=childhood. |

Someone else that likes Hercules! Yay! My other favorites are Mulan, Lion King, and Aladdin (such a cutie!) |

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite of all-time.
The Little Mermaid is a close second, though. Of the Pixar ones, Toy Story 2. Of the live-actions, Mary Poppins and the ORIGINAL The Parent Trap. |

Beauty and the Beast, Sword in the Stone, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame....
I love classic disney. Seriously, I could write a twenty page paper on disney. Walt Disney is my idol, I kid you not. I mean, he was the orginal voice of Mickey Mouse, probably the most famous cartoon character in history, was the founder of an industry that basically defines millions of children's childhoods and had Disneyland, Disneyworld and all those other Disneys in Europe... |

It is a fact that he was an Anti-Semite, so though I admire his work, I can't admire him. Just like I don't like Dr. Seus because he hated kids. Hated. |
||||

The Lion King. I love Timon and Pumba! And Lion King 1 1/2 is so funny too.

I've never heard either of those facts before in my life. |

Anti-Semitism at Disney
I think that's a fairly generalized statement. Disney had rumours that he was anti-semitic following him all through his life, mainly because he aligned himself with The Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals, which was anti-Communist and anti-Semitic. I think there is a distinction to me made here, as Neal Gabler did in an interview about his book Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination:
Now, while I neither support anti-semitism nor imply that Disney was a perfect human being, I think it's important to examine the distinction because Disney did not, as the infamous Baptist Boycott of Disney states, work 'all his life to keep Jews out of Disney'. Many of the great artists, animators, composers and lyricists that worked with him on a close personal level were Jewish. (Of course, in the context of the Baptist article, the church implies that anti-semitism is a good thing as they are saying that Michael Eisner ('the Jewish head of Disney'), destroyed 'the Disney Empire over the unChristian and immoral material they are pumping into American homes in the guise "family entertainment"' and that 'Walt Disney would turn over in his grave if he could see what Michael Eisner has done to Disney Studios'. In and of itself, that statement, and the attitude behind it, are more 'unChristian and immoral' than what is being criticized and the way the criticism is being articulated. Later days David |

I adore Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Menken's best score, in my opinion
| ConverseSneaker |
Oh! I forgot Oliver and Company and The Rescuers! Adorable, the both of them.

Aladdin is my all time favorite but Pixar? Finding Nemo.

Pretty much the only Disney movie I don't like is Pocahontas. Hate it.
You all know that the way they twisted Hunchback bothers me as well, although I still value it as it's own separate peice. |

From an animation perspective, Snow White is the greatest Disney film of all time. |
