Favor For A Costumer: People Who Own Authentic UnisAlways on the lookout for ways to improve my costuming, I'm working with my friend RB to make a better unitard pattern than the one I tend to cobble together whenever I need one. RB is a fantastic pattern maker, but we'd both like to see some finer points of authentic unitards from CATS. Specifically, we were hoping that someone with access to an authentic unitard and a digital camera would be willing to help us out. We're most interested in seeing the seam where the arm joins the body, the crotch - especially the area between the legs and the shoulder closures. Any help would earn our undying gratitude. |

Simply, where the arm joins the body it is a single seam on the sleeve under the armpit, the shoulders are joined with poppers and the crotch is a diamond shape, this is just to give you an idea to start you off, however i will try and post some pics (If i have the time this week -im at work |

my Grizabella Unitard (NLT) is to dark to show the seams, so I made you a rough linework of how it looks:
(incase if you dont understand, feel free to ask, this is a quick rendering on photoshop with a mouse I'll ask Xingiera which one of the twins she got, incase if its Corico I'll ask her to check there too The armpits are common crosses bway, atleast with mine. Then again my costume is NOT really made for a lot of shows being the chorus Grizabellla one, so maybe there are differences. regards Aky |
