Fave character?I am wondering who everyone's fave character is. I really like Nala, she was such a strong and wise character in the production I saw

Timone and Pummba were awesome when I saw it, ditto Scar.
In the movie I love the hyenas!
In fact, all the characters are great!

I really love the Hyena's too. They were better comic relief than Timon and Pumbaa in my opinion. So was Zazu, I loved him. The puppet really lived.

I must say my favorites were Zazu and Scar. (Also they would be my dream roles if I were to audition for this show.)

As a villain loving gal -- my favortie is Scar. I love the character in the movie and even more in the stage version.

RAFIKI!
I love that monkey...baboon? Eh...let's go with primate.

Fantine

It's supposed to be a baboon... Though I'm not too sure of that in the musical, lol.
I also love Scar in the movie... But the actor I saw wasn't too great so... I do love his song though. It's brilliant.

I love adult Simba. His songs are just so powerful. If I could hit the ending note of "Endless Night" I would totally audition with that. Zazu rather irritates me. "The Morning Report" is just so blah in my opinion.

Yeah I agree with you on that...I really wish they would have had Nala's song in the cartoon instead of that one...I mean it literally has no purpose in the story except for him blabbering on like he always does...I personally like Shadowland...the first time I saw it and heard it, it sent chills down my spine. It still does. But I'm going with you on this one...I am not a Zazu fan myself...he seemed so annoying and just utterly intolerable in my opinion.

I loved the hyenas, scar, and nala when I saw it on Broadway

Nala!!!! She kicks butt.
But I also think Zazu is fun and of course the grusome twosome that is... Timon and Pumba
| Quote: |
He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal
He could clear the savannah after every meal
I'm a sensitive soul though I seem thick-skinned
And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind
And oh, the shame He was ashamed
Thought of changin' my name What's in a name?
And I got downhearted How did ya feel?
Everytime that I...
Hey! Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!
Oh. Sorry |
This is class.

I've seen the production twice now and I sat closer by this time and I must say that Scar is much better when closer to the stage.
I think that he and Zazu are my favourites now.

Wow! That's a hard one for me because I love all of the characters. I really liked Scar and Nala in the production I saw but I loved Rafiki, the hyenas, and Zazu.

I love SimbaEndless night makes me cry all the time when I listen to it. It's so powerful and Jason Raize does it so well. So Simba is my favorite character. Unfortunatly, and ironicly, Jason Raize comitted sucide. I know, it was a tragedy.

Rafkiki. Rafiki. Rafiki. He's powerful, but not like Mufasa, he's powerful in a non obvious way. And i think you would get the biggest african feel from Rafiki. I like his costume best too.

Only, Rafiki is a she.

Nala might not have been my favorite until I saw her performed by Alexia Khadime in London - totally outstanding.
So many great performances in the show, but Alexia stole the show for me

I might have only seen the show once, but I think that Mufasa and Scar have to be my favorite characters.
Don Donahue did such a good job portraying the scarred lion. I like Scar because somehow he just has that...something that makes him a good villain. The character is funny sometimes (Madness of King Scar), evil, cunning, and has many solos.
Mufasa is the father figure and even though he's mostly only in Act 1, his character is extremely important to the story.
I know that seemed more like a character description, but I just said why I liked each character.

It's hard to say, but I really liked Adult Nala when I saw it. Maybe it was because the actress was so nice when I talked to her after the show.
Also, Rafiki was hilarious. I was completely shocked to find that an extremely small woman had played the part. I barely recognized her afterwards when we were talking to some of the cast members. I mean, WOAH. But anyway...

The Hyenas, duhhh!!!
Funny and frightening all at the same time, plus when I saw it on tour, the woman playing Shenzi (the female Hyena) was just remarkable!

Rafiki is amazing in the Broadway show. Didnt like him as much in the movie. Love the gender change!

I like adult Nala (she was something of a role model to me when I was little and used to watch the movie) and Sarabi!

Rafiki is supposed to be a mandrill. This is clear in the facial colouring in both the film and the show. In the film, however, Rafiki does not have the crested forehead that is typical of mandrills and, furthermore, he has a long tail, which mandrills do not have but which baboons do. So it's easy to be confused. In the stage show, both the these inaccuracies are solved in the design of the costume for the (female) Rafiki.
I suppose my favourite character is Rafiki too. I love the song "The Circle of Life" both in the stage version and on film. I think it's an incredibly powerful moment in both media.

I have to say Scar. He is such an evil villain, and thinks things out until the very end. He is only second to Simba, who I love with my whole heart(especially when he was played on broadway by Jason Raize). I think he is such a strong character.

I love Simba. When he is an adult.

When I was little watching the movie, falling in love with it, I was always a fan of young Simba. (and not cause of JTT, I don't think I even knew who he was then) And Simba will always be my favorite, cause of the sentmental attachmet and cause he's just such a great character. However I do love Rafiki so much, I can do his whole scene word for word when he meets adult Simba. Adult Nala is just amazing, and I always 'cast' as her whenever I'm at Disney's Califorina Adventure in the Animation place doing the character quize (in the Beast's library) And last but not least Mufasa!!! I mean come on, in the movie...it's freaking Darth Vader (lmao!!) Anyways, there you have it. By the way, this is my first post here(on the Lion King forum), hi everyone!!

Hey Peep.
Please don't call us Peeps.
Kiara is not in the musical. Or the movie. Only the sequel.

Timon was my favorite. I loved it (when I saw it touring) when he got off the person acting as a plant and said "Thank you".
