BEYOND THE CHRONICLES
Chapter Sixteen – “Knights Variant”

Lucifer and Kheyla are asked for advice concerning the upcoming attack on Oak Tree... Cassandra and Little Cass arrive at the Guardian City, and seek out Mistoffelees to help them get to Redrock Castle...Onaghan arrives back at Castle Redrock after learning about the attack on Coerah, and he finds Cassandra and Little Cass waiting for him. Because of Little Cass' power, both mother and daughter know who did the attack... Munkustrap and General Mulharr watch as a minimal effort by the defenders of the cliffs repulse an attack by the Black Regiment, and then the Healers work on the wounded... Demeter tells Tarfur about the tapestry vision she has had... Growltiger (Russell) observes the Siamese culture from what he believes is a safe place, and then is captured by a very familiar named member... Genesis tells Renessa about the Isle of Mysts... Tuki and Griddlebone return to the Yorkie's home... Mohnochan learns of his Army's horrendous defeat, and then finds his castle is occupied by a Yeahlika Tom and Lord Ahlagon...

Chapter Seventeen = “Castles – King’s Side”

Clahrissa is preparing to leave now that Cassandra is at Redrock, but she is not fast enough to escape... Bohfalarr is about to bring the war against Redrock itself as he sets up his forces practically on the doorstep. However, there is a problem when a message arrives... Munkustrap is convinced that the time has come to help Redrock by leaving a small force to protect the canyon, and take the rest after the Black Regiment... Tuki and Griddlebone talk with Edkhan, Tuki's husband, and he suggests that they attempt to accompany the white Madame Cat south... Lucifer sifts through Mohnochan's papers with the help of Cohree, the Oak Tree Castle's majordomo. He discovers a secret portfolio, and a spy... Growltiger is marched through the Hidden City and he gets a closer look at the citizens. Then, he is reunited with his crew... in jail... Genesis attempts to convince Captain Lahwfett to allow him to land on the Isle of Mysts, and the Poodle Captain refuses. Genesis sees no further choice...
