FanFiction Update

For those interested in fanfiction:

UPDATE as of January 15, 2006

NEW - The NEW Jellicle Chronicles
The story of the Jellicle Tribe in New York's Central Park...

PREQUEL - Portland - "Soap Operas"
Some of the interesting problems that Costumer Cybil Langton and Dresser Cynthia Henslow go through...

Respectfully submitted,

I've read both and all and I have to ask it... What's the difference between the old and the new?

I must have missed some vital differences somewhere in my initial reading. Aside from location and a couple of quirks, I mean. It has a new spin?

Forgive my annoying curiosity. I'm afraid I tend to frustrate and offend people with it sometimes. Embarassed

TNJC

I have added a Foreword to the main index that may answer some of your questions...

Essentially, this series views the Jellicle world from the American Side, which places them in a new location in two ways - New York and Central Park (instead of Windsor and a Junkyard). Relationships will change, and personalities will be overhauled in the long run... More emphasis is being placed on the "cast" rather than bringing in new characters all the time...

Right now, you are only seeing the first chapter, so a lot of things may not seem too new... yet...

Hopefully, this will also answer some of the questions...

Respectfully,

BTC Future

Glad you liked the first chapter of TNJ... Now the rest of the story...

BTC is fairly reliant on Ahdeya's THE JELLICLE TRIBES. Here is what happened...

TJT was when the first cast (the 20th Anniversary Tour) was taken and landed on the Jellicle's Home World... They basically journeyed toward what is called the Temple of Charumcah.

Five years later, BTC begins when a set of Jellicles land in the old Sanctuary location... Tarfur and company journey to the Citadel, and then onward to the Temple. Tarfur is recognized as the Chronicler...

The problem is that Ahdeya has not completed Book Three, which will place the Tribe at the Temple. So I have a hole in the plotline that will cause me problems if I try to progress BTC... So... BTC is stalled, probably permanently... I did not realize at the time that her interest in CATS would wane, and she would stop writing TJT...

So, I will wait and see - writing the New Chronicles until then...

Ok, I've read the foreword, and I'm re-impressed. (As opposed to de-impressed. ~_~')

Curious. Standards of illustration? Describe. I have far too much time on my hands.

Illustration Standards...

I had two major illustrators during TJC - Anna-Karin Larsson and Michaela Olofsson. As well as being two very gifted artists in their particualr style, they also attempted to draw/paint the illustrations to match a strong point in the chapter(s), or captured a character's portrait.

Examples of Anna-Karin Larsson's Work
Examples of Michaela Olofsson's Work

Most of the artwork (such as the logos) are also their work... If I have anyone doing TNJ, I would like their work to be comparable. (NOTE: recommendation by AKL)

Wow, nice. ^_^ I can see why you wouldn't want to let the standards drop.
