I'm considering auditioning for Fame in the Winter, and I would really like to be Serena or Miss. Sherman. I need to find a song in the similar style to "Let's Play a Love Scene". A few have been recommended to me:
They Say it's Wonderful from Annie Get Your Gun
There's a Fine, Fine Line from Avenue Q
Somewhere That's Green from Little Shop of Horrors

Are these good songs to choose from, and can you think of others? Thanks in advance!

I'd definitely go with 'Fine, fine line'. When Julie Atherton was singing it, I kept thinking 'I've heard this before... I've heard her singing this song before, but when could I? This is a preview...'. It was purely because I had seen her play Serena, and heard her 'Love Scene'. So yeah. That one.

I'm not familiar with Fame, but from what I've heard, I'd do something Footloose.

Oh my gosh, "A Fine, Fine Line" is perfect. I was in FAME this summer and "love Scene" is such a sweet song, and FFL emulates it well
