Expendable ST songsThere's a possibility tat when my college does Sweeney Todd, they won't be able to do the whole score. So, what would be the most expendable songs that could be cut without hurting the shows?
*And I want to make this very clear: if your answer is 'none', don't bother posting.

Isn't 'illegal' to cut random songs?
But anyway, of course don't use any of the optional material (i.e. Judge's Johanna, 'Searching Part II').
You could cut it down movie style, since Sondheim thought the use of those songs were sufficient....
But again it kind of makes me a little 'sad' I guess, that this would happen.

In the production I am in at the moment, the director/musical director have cut The Judge's Johanna and the parlour songs. Sweet Polly Plunket" – Beadle Bamford, Mrs. Lovett, Tobias and "The Tower of Bray" – Beadle Bamford, Mrs. Lovett, Tobias.
I think that is about all you could get away with cutting, the rest are pretty integral to the plot...also i think you can cut the link between the Sweeney Ballad just before City on Fire and Maybe shorten god that's Good...it is about 6 minutes long.
