Hi guys,

So I've had a copy of the Evita vocal score (the full show in piano/vocal format, with seperate staves for the characters, chorus members and orchestral cues everywhere) for a while and am sort of curious. Why is it all "handwritten" and sloppy? It looks like it was written out in ballpoint pen in some places.

Also, why, in various parts (such as a lot of "Oh! What a Circus" and "Rainbow Tour"), does the piano accompaniment dissapear and get replaced
with "x-ed out" note symbols and just chord names as opposed to actual
accompaniment? It's strange.
