I wonder if anybody else happened to catch the short run of On the Town at the City Center recently?

I went on Wednesday (for five dollars! brag.brag.) and wow I was blown out of the water. I was largely unfamiliar with the show before seeing it, but it is so much fun. The orchestra onstage sounded beautiful and did not at all detract from the show. The dancing (which I usually find a bit tedious) was mesmerizing. Yay Jerome Robbins! I really hope this spells an upcoming revival.

I saw it for $10...I think it was the best $10 I spent while I was in NY!

SO GLAD I saw it - it was fantastic!!!! The dancing was incredible - Jerome Robbins, huzzah. The orchestra was fantastic. And I enjoyed every single person in the cast.

I was in NY for a couple weeks and saw 8 shows, and this was definitely one of my favorite!
