EMERGENCY Will Rogers Follies audition for Mary!! What song?

This is my first out of school audition, theres 4 spots left in a professional production of WRF, Will Jr., Freddy, James, and Mary. Being a girl, the only one I can really do is Mary.

I kind of have no idea about the show, or what to sing. It said "Those auditioning must have previous stage experience with strong personalities and voices. Please have a song prepared and the sheet music. Accompanist will be provided. You must be able to sing with the piano."

I've done school shows, but I have awesome stage presence, and I have a strong voice/personality. Why not give it a shot?

So, what should I sing? I can sing comfortably alto or soprano, so it doeasn't matter, just give me a good song choice!

The audition is May 4
Brigantine

for the most part, the kids are going to be cast by:
1. Height
2. Relative age (how old you look)
3. Talent
4. singing ability
5. adorable-ness

I can't remember now if Mary is the 2nd or third child, but depending on the age of the other kids, she is supposed to look between 8-10, I think. (there should be a year or two between them all)
Height is a big factor too, just like in SOM, where they want the stair-step look when the kids line up. I think Will Jr. and Freddy have the most lines, the middle two get the shaft, although the director may mix them up and distribute them more evenly.
Advice for the audition: sing something lively and CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!

I'm not very familiar with kids roles/shows, but perhaps something upbeat from Annie, The Secret Garden,The Sound of Music... something with music specifically for children. Don't sing an "adult" song. What songs do you already know, from school/church/other shows?

In our show the kids had some "trick" ropes that they twirled, and one song where they were onstage a lot, "Big Time", other than that, they come out for a few lines every so often and stand there and look cute. We also gave some of the kids (or they might have been assigned in the script) some lines at the end of the show, when they talk about will's life, sort of his "eulogy".

Let us know how it goes, and break a leg!
