Do you guys like small Annies (7/8/9 year olds.. around 4'0" to 4'5")?
I've seen a lot of productions do this and it drives me bonkers, lol. I wish they'd cast people more around Andrea McArdle's height (when she was in Annie, of course). Annie just doesn't look eleven when played by such short and young actors.

Also, have you noticed a lot of productions have strayed from the tough, streetwise, cheeky orphan to a sweet, cute, delicate little girl?

Yeah i noticed the thing about the changeing Annie t be sweeter. The girl who played Annie was great. But she was a little to sweet and one of the other girls who ended up playing Pepper. Should have been her since she was great and gave Annie that street wise attitude. She filled in for Annie once when Annie was out and was great!

I prefer older Annies, and I agree. Too many productions are straying to sweeter girls.
