This is why I hate being in England, us english Wicked fans get nothing.
I wish I could go. |

You'll get stuff, I promise. I think its a great way for Chicago to sell their middle of the week tickets because everyone is so busy that they don't go to the Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday productions. Don't worry you'll get something....

How does this work? Does the cast volouteer? |
||||
| wickedboy |
Elfie Lou,
How can you say you don't get anything? The London production has to be the most updated of them all... at least your program is always current and specific to the LONDON production. All the US productions have the same program which is very outdated, with photos from all of the productions, none of which are remotely current. It's sort of sad actually. And excuse me, but didn't you get our original green girl IDINA MENZEL? Granted I flew over to London to see Idina, I wasn't missing that opportunity, but heck, if I had been living in London at the time (I've lived there before, unfortunately not late last year), but had I, I would have stood out in the cold for day tickets at least once a week, if not more often then that! No, believe me, you guys "get" plenty, and I'm sure you'll get a "Behind the Emerald Curtain" soon enough, Chicago already has there's! Sorry if that sounded harsh at all, I didn't mean it to be, I just found your comment a tad ironic, considering you got IDINA! Austin |

Wow That hit home. |

so did america. so its hardly even. the apollo victoria isnt really suitable for behind the emerald curtain and you cant compare programs to meeting the cast. so with chicago geting BOTH behind the merald curtain AND dinner with the cast its hardly any comparison to england getting a little book thats updated a little. |

lol i bet the cast members turn out to be the ensemble and everyone goes expecting elphie and glinda

Yes, perhaps dinner and Behind the Emerald Curtain in Chicago do beat the London production's program, but hey, when I got interested in Wicked, Idina had already left Broadway, so when she was announced for London, I definitely thought the Brits were luckier than all get out... and then I booked a ticket to be right there to see it!

lol so we got idina. but you had her first. you also had wicked too

Regardless of eating with the ensemble or the leads I don't care. I am excited and at the end of this week I'm buying tickets to see it!!!!! It has an amazing menu check it out,
http://www.ticketmaster.com/promo/gdelzx It also says something about a gift. I wonder what it is. Any ideas? |

If only I didnt live on the other side of the world!!! Though I'm really quite amazed that theyve actually agreed to do that. I mean, come on, its their own time, and theyre certainatly not contracted to have dinner with fans. I'd worry quite a bit if I had to have a weekly dinner with people who were either kept on praising you, or were at a loss for things to say when they get to spend some quiet time with you. SD is one thing, but I think dinner is something else entirely. |

I bet youget the regular's who always book for the same person!

Wicked_boy,
That could get a bit weird... kinda stocker-ish. I would hope if people do it they would do it sparingly, or that could just get strange. Personally, I would never want to have dinner with someone (if they got to eat with an Elphaba or Galinda) who just kept praising my work, that could get really irritating after about 5 minutes. As someone said before, I think talking with the ensemble would be great, they could tell you all the flub ups, and technical difficulties. Sorry on stage those might not look good, but they make for amazing stories. (Believe me, I was at Les Mis in London once when the "barricade" broke and had to be towed off-stage... got to sit in my seat and watch the whole thing... boring as heck at the time, but made for a great story! Although, meeting with the main cast could be really cool too, but in a different way, I would just hope people wouldn't keep asking the Elphaba about the green make-up. I'm sorry, but I have heard people ask Idina and the other Elphabas about that in interviews so many times, it's just become rediculous, and incredulously boring. But it still would be interesting to know how they feel about the role, and the show, and how it has become almost a "cult" musical in a way. (And if it has, I'm proudly part of the cult) Anyway, I think it could be amazing either way, main cast or ensemble... If only they had had this in London when Idina was on... those tickets would have been so expensive, and wow what I would pay to have dinner with her! Those would be some amazing stories; I mean has anyone else heard her stories on YouTube? She is hilarious! So yeah, next time I see the show in Chicago, I am so opting for dinner with the cast! I usually see the show on Wednesdays anyway.. they always have the best tickets still available! Austin |
