DVD Extras

What do you think they'll be?

EponineGiry

Columbus has already said that the cut parts of Goodbye Love will be on there. I don't know about Halloween but I certainly hope so.

I think they'll have some cast and crew interviews.
LesWickedPhantom

Bloopers! no DVD is completely without a solid blooper reel. I want to see Idina lose her balance and fall as she tries to pull her pants back up, or... Wilson screwing up and getting frustrated on the Today 4U choreography. Rosario falling off her stripper pole. Anything.

A commentary by the cast would be cool, given that 80% of then have lived with this show and these parts for almost a decade now
EponineGiry

6/8 is not equal to 80%, but that would be cool.

He's close. 6 out of 8 is 75%.

(In New York/Italian Accent)

Y'know what,

I flunked math OK?
Descartes

I nearly did too. But I got partnered with the smartest kid in the class for an assignment that was graded as a test.

I'd love to see more of the behind the scenes stuff that Anthony filmed for the blog and an outtakes/bloopers reel (including Idina's Catwoman bit that was discussed over on CompulsiveBowlers). A commentary would be nice as well. Maybe a cast one and a director/technical one?

Footage from the Broadway show.
Director's commentary
Cast commentary
Making of RENT (hosted by Mark Cohn)
Making the record (soundtrack)
Outakes and Bloopers
Karaoke Tracks
Blog stuff

That's what Id like to see.

Maybe also something like on the "Phantom" DVD where they have a documentary about the show and only the show, it had nothing to do with the film and it wasn't even close to being promotional fluff. Of course anything to do with the making of the film will also be appreciated. Very Happy

All of the above would be GREAT. Especially the Broadway footage and Karaoke tracks.

I would hardly consider that "brutal".

Anyway, I'd love to see bloopers and footage from the original Broadway show...ooh that'd be fantastic.
Descartes

Good ideas all.

Footage from Tour Casts/'Rent' around the world.....?

Des.
One Song Glory

That would be cool.

Maybe, bloopers from various stage productions of Rent? May be hard to do... but my friend did a blooper reel for a production of The Music Man...

Anyways, cast commentaries would be nice, maybe a little thing on Jonathan Larson? That'd be nice too. Smile

You ain't seen nothin' yet.

^ She's correct. I'm one of the least brutal person with over 250 posts on here.
DramaRobin2002

Does anyone know any of the other cast members did a commentary for the DVD? I know Adam and Anthony did, but you would think that it would just say their names rather than "Select cast members" if it was only them.

I remember reading that there would be Rapp's solo "Halloween," but I don't remember where I saw that. I also saw on Broadway.com's coverage of the movie premier a picture of an actress who played Allison, Benny's wife, whose scene was cut from the film, so I hope to see that on the deleted scenes.
Luc

I would like to see a tribute to Larson. A biography type-thing.
Vicam

Don't think this has been posted yet, but if you want you can check out the end of the deleted scene from Goodbye Love here: http://www.vh1.com/movies/movie/265875/moviemain.jhtml

I just read a review of the DVD here...

www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=20131

In a nutshell, the guy really liked it. Only Anthony and Adam join Chris Columbus for the commentary, but the review says it's pretty good.
