Elaine Page is playing the Chaperone, not Janet.

Hey don't diss Elaine Evil or Very Mad -her Grizabella brought tears to my eyes! Anyway, I think she'd be good as drowsy or Mrs. Tottendale even, but she's too old for Janet Vandergraffe...But I still think she's a great actress
Salome

Paige is one oft he worst singer/actresses to ever grace the stage. Her voice sounds like chalk screeching on a black board.

She is only famous because she slept with Tim Rice ot get her first big roles.

Every role she has played others did much better.

can't act,can't sing, can't dance..a triple threat.
sherwills

I've never seen Elaine Paige on stage yet, but as per her recorded songs that I've listened to... I think it's fair to say that she can sing.

Not really my favourite musical theatre voice but hell yeah... she could sing!
Salome

she can hit the notes. but thats not all there is to singing. she sounds awful. her singing and speaking voice both. plus she is an ugly little troll.

Beth Leavel is so multi talented, they should have taken her to London for the british version.
sherwills

Geez, easy with the Paige bashing, hehehe.

But after all, it's your opinion. So I respect that.

Plus, bear in mind, she's pushing seventy years old; this may be her last stage role ever.

Actually, she's 59, so's she's only pushing 60, and if, Angela Lansbury who's around 80 can still has a career, them I 'm sure Elaine can manage Very Happy

And speaking of Elaine bashing, we'd beter hide her from Salome or she'll be burnt alive! *Locks Elaine in a really high tower and swallows key Silenced *
sherwills

love it!

LOL Applause
Salome

too late. Paige already burnt her voice alive in the 70s.
sherwills

Haha, Good! Then she wouldn't have to exert much effort on the Drowsy voice... Laughing

But anyhow, I'd still see this show as I loved it when I saw it in Broadway.
