Damned For All Time/Blood Money was a litle too fast. Very well acted, though.

Did you notice Judas didn't take the silver?

The Last Supper:
1. I don't think Jesus would throw Judas around like that. I think Judas would have done that to Jesus.
2. I liked how how Judas spoke to Jesus during the little break ("Jesus... please!")
3. Why did Jesus run after Judas when he exited? My producton did that, too and I never understood why. If Jesus is pissed off at Judas, why run after him?
4. Jesus looks like Tommy Shaw of STYX.

Andy.
Brother Marvin Hinten, S.

He's not pissed off at Judas. That's the point. Ted Neeley in the AD Tour made this clear from the get-go. In that production, it was clear that Judas REALLY WAS Jesus' right-hand man, and not some misunderstood lackey who took off to betray him, a la newer productions. They were close, they hugged, there was a relationship there that people could see. They were friends. Judas made a mistake, and Jesus tried to stop him from doing it. Jesus ran after Judas in that production, too, to comfort Judas, to show him this wasn't the way out.

Okay... look at it this way. Hypothetical situation:

You (Gibby) have just asked me to do the same kind of thing. You and I ARE best friends. Yet, I don't understand why you're asking me to do this for you. You're asking me to drop my defences and go against everything I currently believe. That is, to me, betrayal.

So, I throw insults at you. I call you "sad" and "pathetic." I accuse you of letting your ego get out of control. I say "you really don't give a sh-t about me ot the others. You're in this for yourself!"

Wouldn't you lose it on me? Of course you would!

In the scene, Judas is trying to ruin Jesus' ambition. At that point, he doesn't care about how much Jesus loves him. He has been betrayed by his Master and he wants to know why. Yet, Jesus screams at his friend to "get out."

Two friends have just had a huge argument and falling out. I just don't see why Jesus would want to comfort Judas moments after that.

Yea Judas didn't take the silver.....

Well from the way I see it, if you just said things in anger to your best friend wouldn't you try to mend things? Jesus and Judas are friends, even in anger.

Yes I would. BUT not after a heated argument like the characters have. I would need some time away from the person, then go and see them.

Very good.
I like the costumes, and the visual aspect of the show...It looks like it took a ton of cash to produce. I think the Last Supper was a little too heated, The problem is not Jesus, its suppose to be Judas. And I think that it makes it look like Jesus has serious anger issues... When Judas of course, has the serious anger issues in the play.

Gethsemane; I was disapointed by Seale's lack of high notes, but his acting and the staging is good (watch the 5/8 break!).
