Dreamers?

How much chorus work is there for the dreamers in this show? (i.e. how many numbers are they in). From discussions I've read, I take it that it challenging music?
Melindaisy

The Dreamers are very integral to the action of the play. Actual number they sing in are: House on the Hill; I Heard Someone Crying; Storm I, II, and III; Come Spirit, Come Charm; Finale (Come To My Garden). They have many small musical interludes during the scene changes that are solos and duets. They dance during Girl in a Valley.
I would say that Storm III is the mosy challenging because everyone is singing their own line at one point, and it all clashes.

I did Secret Garden in June, and honestly, it was the boringest show I have ever done. I was claire, a dreamer, and there is barely any dancing, its mostly standing still, and you are on for like 10 minutes in the begging of act 1, and then like 15 minutes at the end of act 1 for storms, storm 3 is a hard song, everything about that song is hard. but I would suggest looking deeply into the show before you do it, I couldnt stand it.

The Secret Garden is a beautiful show which has difficult music and a well-written script. The number of dreamers is up to the director, but they act as a ghostly chorus throughout the show and are in many songs as Melindasiy has mentioned.

You'd better hope that you never have to do a Sondheim show if you think that is challenging. And many shows do not have dancing in them.

It was depressing, the songs get annoying after hearing them blank amount of times. And actually, A LOT of shows have dancing in them. Im not an idiot. Im a director.

No one called you an idiot. Rolling Eyes Not every show can be a comedy or have dance numbers. And The Secret Garden is among the best dramatic shows in theatre.

Cammie, if I were you, I would do this show and form your opinion on how good or horrible a show is. The only answer that everyone here will agree on that doesn't require an opinion is the answers to your orginal questions.
