1st ROUND
The panel of judges will decide who goes through to the public vote.

2nd ROUND
The public picks who shall play Elphaba & Glinda.

3rd ROUND
4 Elphabas & Glindas remain. They will battle it out until there is 2 of each character.

4th ROUND
The judges will pick the Elphaba & Glinda to be used on the cast recording.

This forum is for everyone, lovers and haters alike. I leraned that along time ago. I may not like much of the heavy/hateful criticism, but it's made for some of the most stimulating coversation I've ever had on this forum, which is more than I can say for the "OMG i LoVe wICKED!!!!!!!!!" blather that gets posted here sometimes.

Initially I would have said that forums were for fans only, but I realised that criticism can be very educational.

Also, if it helps, I just got cast in another online recording, for Les Mis.

I got cast as Enjolras in the english version. i know i am a girl, but i can sing a low f (maybe even below and I often sing Tenor as well). I also got cast as Eponine in the french version of the show. :]

It so is and that's a good thing because that's one of my favorite numbers. The Fiyero line that goes like "It's up that I fell" is simply one of my favorite things in the show. Congrats. :]

It's to bad no one auditions for the Wizard, Doctor Dillamond and Madame Morrible I wouldn't mind doing both Boq, Wizard and Dillamond, if no one else shows up, because I can change my voice to sound older, and different can someone who doesn't got a big part, play Madame Morrible maeby ?

And for the ensemble, I guess if it's not on the backing tracks, everyone might have to be ensemble?
I know it sounds like a lot of work for everyone, but don't we want to get this right? :)It would be a shame, just to do the "lead" songs, and forget the big numbers, with the ensemble. Wouldn't "What is this feeling" be a little sad without the ensemble? Or Defying Gravity

I'm going to give you my honest input on your situation. Go with what you have. I have been cast as Elphaba in at least two of these online fan recordings, and they have all turned out to be a bust, because we were greedy and wanted to do the FULL show. It's not going to happen. Go with what you have now, present it to your fellow board members, and I am sure they will appreciate whatever you end up with. Don't waste you time hoping that someone will audition soon, because it most likely won't happen anyways. Most people that haven't auditioned already don't have a recording program, nor a mic, and seriously, that just takes away from your experience going smoothly. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, or anything like that. I am giving you an honest opinion based on my own experiences. Good luck! I can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Just an update, I'm working on finishing "What Is This Feeling" and "Popular" right now. Our Elphaba already sent in her part, and I'm putting some editing touches on it. I tried splicing the Ensemble from the soundtrack in, but it sounded weird, so it may just have to go without. We'll see.
