Sounds like a really stupid idea for a play to me, frankly.

Turning the Peanuts kids into teenagers makes no sense anyway, since they never acted like kids in the first place. The entire gimmick of the strip was to show the kids with grown-up anxieties and neuroses.

So now we'll get what - teenagers dealing with grown up anxieties and neuroses? How much more overplowed can your creative territory get?
