I was looking up some musicals on mti and i found Bugsy Malone. It doesnt tell you much about the show on there, but i did end up finding more information elsewhere.. like about characters and ranges. but can anyone tell me what this play is about?? and how apropriate it is for high schools and everything like that?

I can't tell you much other than to say that it's 100% suitable for high schools.

It's a pastiche of 1920's gangster movies with children playing all the adult roles. The main focus is the war between two gangs and the technology (splurge guns) one gang is using to outfox the other gang.

Bugsy himself is a wise-guy and falls for Blousie Brown, an aspiring singer/show girl.
