Does Anyone Have the Script for the Movie?

Just wondering if anyone has the movie script. ^.^ I saw the movie yesterday, was stunned, fell in love, been listening to the soundtrack all day, and now am craving the script. xD

Thanks very much!
Joshua

Oh Lord. Were you a Sweeney virgin when you went to see this? I sure as hell hope not.
RequiemfortheInnocent

^ Yuuuuup.
I'd heard of the play before, but for some reason never really looked into it (dunno why). Then I heard Tim Burton was doing an adaptation of it, and... here I am. xD
I've only seen the movie so far, but I really want to see a theatre version of it.

Buy it. Enjoy it. Love it.

It's the best version ever done, IMO. Very Happy

Joshua: I was actually looking at that one earlier today; I've heard Angela Lansbury is amazing. *saves link*

I'm just about to buy the stage script from amazon.

^That script has EVERYTHING from any stage version in it, which includes The Judge's Song, The Beggar Woman's Lullaby, and all of the Parlour songs, as well as many lines excluded from the Lansbury/Hearn DVD.

It sounds like a dream come true!
Too bad my parents think it's a waste of money...

The shooting script for the movie was floating around for a long time...I deleted it by accident though... Sad

It was a bit different from the movie...it actually still had the ballad and a few other little things that were changed. It was an interesting read.

Google it or ask around at IMDB on the Sweeney Todd forum. One of the "Bleeders" there should be able to hook you up. Unless someone here has it too...

If you're lucky you might be able to find one at a larger Barnes and Nobel...I found mine at one of the ones in NYC.

If anyone needs the shooting script, pm me. I have it and I'm willing to send it to anyone who wants it.
Brock07

AH-HA! So someone does have it on this board. Isn't interesting, the way the ballad ghosts were originally supposed to be incorporated?
ErikProuvaire

Yes, I love the way they were going to do that. Sucks that it was cut. The image of Christopher Lee's character waterfalling blood in that one scene would have been awesome. And I love the original way the opening credits were going to be, with the ghost reflected in what we don't yet realize is Sweeney's blood.
Brock07

Shame it wasn't filmed....I would love to see an alternate version with the ballad ghosts...

The ballads were apparently recorded...I'm still praying that they make their way to the DVD release...
ErikProuvaire

It's seems from what I've heard that the audio for them was recorded, but never any video. The days they were supposed to film them was when Johnny's daughter Lily-Rose was sick and the filming schedule was so tight that they had to cut them.
Not Dead Yet

One of the good things about the movie is the notoriety it's bringing the show... I was at a small Waldenbooks today and they had like 10 copies of the libretto. I got one, of course (even though I already had the score).

Kindof off topic, but is $100 about as cheap as the vocal score for the play goes? I'm considering getting it but I wanted to check because that's the only price I've seen.
KevinMHofer

Yes it is, it's an oversize hard cover book and worth every penny.
ErikProuvaire

Not sure how obsessive the admins are about this kind of thing, but I've got the vocal score in pdf format. If anyone would like a copy, pm me.

Alright, I'll give everyone the shortcut to the script 'cause I'm a nice guy (special thanks to Paramount Pictures):

1) go to http://www.paramount2007.com
2) let it redirect
3) click right on the Sweeney Todd logo when it loads
4) wait for THIS page to load and then click "Download The Script"
5) either save the zip file or unzip it and save the PDF

No problems here. I like ruining traders' business when the answer is staring everyone in the face and no one is nice enough to point to the way they (probably) got it.
Salome

according to Christopher lee the ballads were not filmed/.. but the soundtrac kwas recorded.

Wow, I would have spent months and months searching google for that.

Sorry to have to rescind this before I send it to anyone, but I've just found out that my computer won't let me e-mail files over a certain size, and the score is 77.5 megabytes. Sad So yeah... not going to be able to e-mail it to anyone who asked... If someone could direct me to a good (free) site where I can set it up that you can download it, I could do it through that...

I recommend www.4shared.com - prime space.
Monsieur D'Arque

Erik- you have the stage musical's vocal score, or the film's revision?
GinnyWeasley201
