DOCTOR WHO: TRIAL OF A TIMELORD

I've heard rumours that TRIAL OF A TIMERLORD will be coming out on DVD in the near future.

I remember seeing every episode of the series, except the (what looked to be) the final episode.

The last one I saw had the Doctor objecting to something. Then, the guy (dressed in black) who was accusing him was called Doctor by the judge. He then ran out of the courtroom persuded by Doctor Who.

The next thing I remember was the Doctor running along a beach and then hands grew out of the sand and pulled him in.

Then the voice of the other guy is heard saying "it's over!" or something like that. Doctor Who screams, then the credits roll.

Appearently, he was killed in the final episode. Is this true?

Can't wait til the DVD.

Andy.

It was his last episode as the Doctor, yes. He was not however killed in it. There's a bit of a history to that; the BBC suspended Doctor Who for 18 months and decided to revamp it and start with a new Doctor (Sylvester McCoy). They asked Colin Baker if he would come back (I believe his contract may have expired by then as well) and film a regeneration scene for them to start the new series and he refused because of the way he'd been treated.
