The Duchess of Mint

Doctor Dolittle!

Dear Musicals.Net Posters,

If you've ever seen the 1967 musical Doctor Dolittle, what did/ do you think of it? I personally like that musical (Anthony Newley, Samantha Eggar, and Sexy Rexy are super entertaining), but the ending leaves sooo much to be desired.

Thanks in advance for your replies.
Cool

I adore the film. Sir Rex at his best. I lke the ending too..but only in the british cut of the film where Rex sings "Something in Your Smile". te American version cuts the song so the whole decision to return to Puddlby is not as clear.

Sir Richard Attenborough is also delightful as Blossom as is the late ,gret Anthony Neweley as Matthew.

There's one more song?

Dear Salome,

There's one more song? Wow!

Of course, it would be boring if every single movie musical ended with a happy couple kissing.
