Disasters, Mistakes, Pranks, etc.?

Dear Little Shop of Horrors Fans,

If you have any disaster/ mistake/ prank stories which relate to your production of LSoH, feel free to share those stories here.

Thanks in advance for your replies.
Cool
Not Dead Yet

Once, someone left their cell phone on stage. We couldn't get it off until Ya Never Know...
Bristian

We just finished our production of Little Shop last week and it went awesome.

We had a few mistakes... most of them were my fault though...

So, the first one, I'm supposed to take the inhaler out of my pocket (acting as the nitrous oxide for Orin) when they Urchins go through whole, "watch him suck up that gas, oh my god!" thing, well, I couldn't get the gas outta my pocket and it was quite embarassing.

Then when I throw the jacket off when Orin says the first "You'll be a dentist" my arm got stuck in the jacket making the arm pull all of the way out of the jacket, so I couldn't put it on for the next scene which was originally planned forcing me to carry it. Ugh...

Then I have to go down a staircase to go get the special gas mask and I got stuck on the railing going down.

Yea, real bad night...

Oh, and our Mrs. Luce fell down a staircase

The next night, our Mushnik lost his voice and finally got it back right before the show. It wasn't good... His voice cracked the entire way through Mushnik and Son and when he got backstage, he threw his stuff down and punched a wall, breaking his arm. Rolling Eyes

Our Audrey also fell down a staircase.

The final night, the only mistake happened to me, but it wasnt my fault. We were using mics, and when I put the gas mask on, my mic has to be on (we don't keep it on until then because we don't need it for me until then) because its impossible to understand anything in that mask and we tried EVERYTHING. Well, our sound person didn't turn my mic on so I had to try to be as loud as I could so people would understand things, while dying, and laughing, and giggling, and over-enunciating in a mask.

I almost broke my arm that night like our Mushnik... especially when our sound person comes backstage during intermission to tell me I didn't turn on my mic....

Ok, maybe that was a lot and not only a few...

Wow Bristian. 2 people falling on the staircase? The thing must've been cursed! And don't worry about the mic. It's the soundperson's fault for not just muting it when you go off.
Cheeese!

that staircase sounds dangerous! we also had a few mistakes like the backstage crew forgetting to put out certain props we needed so i ended up miming flower arranging and stuff,
and on the part where the plant tries to eat me when I give it the water on the first night the plant would open wide enough for me to get in so I just stood there and then screamed and fell on the floor instead haha other than that went amazing!!!

I played Audrey in my school's production about a month ago. Right before I was fed to the plant, Seymour and I were supposed to say all these lines, and I accidentally cut him off while he was saying one of his lines, thinking that it was my turn to talk. Neither of us said anything for about 3 seconds, then we both tried to talk at the same time. Smile

On the second night, my friends said that they saw me stumble over something, like my shoe got caught on a piece of wood or something, but I don't remember it. But I do remember screwing up one of my very first lines. It was very obvious, too. Luckily, I recovered. Also that night, I was handing a bunch of roses wrapped in newspaper to the Customer, and one of the newspapers fell on the floor. Oops!

Luckily, any mistakes that were made throughout the show's run were very minor, fixable things. I was very glad. Smile
