Different Versions

There are so many different versions of the show. Like, different songs, sets, etc. What are the differences between the German one, the London one, and the UK tour one, and (I think I'm right) American Tour one?

The only one I've saw is the UK tour, but what are the differences in set, costumes etc?
Belle

Pretty much completely different. Take a look round my site - http://www.bellesdomain.co.uk for loads of pictures. I've also got a forum which is where Starlight fans meet and chat about pretty much everything! It's far busier than this Starlight board.

The tour is a very poor second to the original London and the current German productions. The tour cast are great, but the production itself is total pants next to what the show SHOULD be!

When I saw the tour, I had only had the "New StEx" for about a week, I knew that they skate around the audience sort of thing, but I knew obviously they couldn't do it on tour. But the set was pants!

The set is essentially nonexistant. Not through necessity, mind - it's just cheaper this way.

I just looked at it, and I never knew StEx was on ice! Wow!

Yeah - looks like someone missed the point about them being on WHEELS to portray them as trains, and just liked the quality of movement. I rather like the Dinah costume though. Pearl just looks like she's going swimming.

This is not strickly true. Although cost is a factor, Tour sets for all shows tend to be simpler because the sise of the stages/grids differ from theatre to theatre.
Mungojerrie_rt

They aren't in Australia. They tour full scale.

I only have the OLC cd, but I want the New cd for the different songs. I would love a german cd, because the bits on youtube are great.

Erm... Have you seen the touring Starlight set in discussion?

The only element of set not seen here is the two small push-on ramps, approx. 5' tall and 6' long.

There's simpler to adjust to varying theatre sizes, then there's just NOTHING. Which this is. It's a blank stage.

How a Starlight set SHOULD look - of course you can't tour this. But you NEED something!

Surprised Belle you live. *Was CB*
I really should poke my site back into existence.
Belle

lol! Yeah, I'm still here... yes! Website! The internet needs more current Starlight websites!
Peritombry

It really does. Razz I'll see what I can do lol

I've just been listening to the original CR and the "new" one. I prefer the orchestrations in the "new" one, but prefer the songs in the "original" one.
