[lost in the darkness 101]

This started out as a joke between my friend and I,
we love the show and figured that it would be sweet if it was a musical!
For those of you who dont know what Death Note is it's an anime show, about a notebook called the Death Note. and when you write someone's name in it, they die within 40 seconds of a heart attack. If you don't know the show, WATCH IT NOW!!!
we already have a song or two written and have thought of a few melodies to try out.

I'm an on-again-off-again fan of Death Note as well, and I think the only way to pull something like that off would be to write something like Evil Dead: the Musical. A complete farce poking fun at the over the top drama in the show, when well written, would be very funny.

Unfortunatly, anime is not mainstream enough for the majority of the audience to understand the jokes, so the best way to present it would be at a convention where the fans of the show could see it.

That's my two cents, anyway.

If you and your friend do plan on writing it, I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with!

In Japan, stage musicals based on anime are extremely popular. But not so much over here.
