Yes, I said it. I am a big fat eppy-bopper. Or whatever the crap they are called. I cry every time I listen to A Little Fall of Rain!
It's a very long shot for me to get this - I've never worked with the company before. But I never thought I'd get a chance to play her. I was sure I would be too old by the time the rights became available.
So really. I've never been more excited and scared. I hate getting my hopes up like this... but please... take a moment to pester a deity for me?
GAHHHH i'm gonna go sing the 32 bars of On My Own I was given for the next 18 hours straight...

We can't all learn lessons by not getting our dream roles, sir. This is one girl who really deserves it. So please, man, my humble request is that she is cast in this part. She wants it, she loves it, she lives it, she breathes it. COME ON, MAN!!!!

Thank you so very very very much everyone. I feel a little stupid begging for prayers but they're easier to give than we realize. Plus God likes to hear from us - for whatever reason. So I've justified it to myself! I don't like to freak out this much about callbacks either and get my hopes up or care this much, but it's a very special role.
Again, thank you thank you thank you. Thank you so much for knowing me barely at all and being willing to help me out. Yay for charity!
And Chev, every time I hear a woman sing for Fantine, I think how you'd tear that role apart.

Also...I think you told me the theatre it is and if it's that theatre, they aren't having their NYC auditions until the end of May...So you may not hear back for a long time, if at all...
This is why you just have to let it go and move onto the next thing!

Oh yes it's gonna be quite some time, if at all. I just had to flip out and beg for well wishes and positive energy before the callback cuz I wanted to kick its ass.
There is like the world's smallest chance that I would get cast. I don't think they'd give a role like Eponine to me. I feel like they'd give it to some New Yorker. But who knows. They may use their housing and eq contracts on men...
I agree with you totally Jasmine. I did what I could and now I'm on to focusing on the next audition.
And Chev, I wish I could be reserved and controlled enough to not gush about callbacks. I'm trying not to, cuz it's usually not in my best interest to share callback info with people for many reasons. But I couldn't contain myself on this one.

Uhm...I do know better. I was just really happy for MaryMag and did not know that it was a more professional theater and that she was going to have to wait some time. We hadn't heard anything from her yet, and I was just interested. Sorry if I came off as an amateur/newbie-ish.
