Hey you guys, soon my school will be holding auditions for guys and dolls and I wanted to audition to be a dancer. What kind of dancing scenes are there?

Are you a girl or a guy? The big numbers I remember, off the top of my head, are Havana (boy/girl dancing in pairs) and Luck be a Lady (guys only). Of course there are all the club scenes (Bushel & a Peck, Take Back Your Mink, etc) which have the girls doing little dances, but those are small compared to the guys in Luck be a Lady.

The female dancers are usually the Hotbox Girls. They dance and sing in Bushel and A Peck and Take Back Your Mink with Adelaide. The female dancers also appear in Havana dancing with partners as someone mentioned. The whole ensemble usually does some form of dancing during Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat.

For the guys, their big scenes are Luck Be A Lady and the Crapshooter's Ballet (which both of those are really one big scene) and they'll also dance in Havana partnering the girls.

Sometimes girls may be used to fill in for the guys during the Crapshooter's scenes if your production is lacking in the numbers for guys, especially those with a sense of rhythm.
