Dancing in the Dark?Okay, so I saw this yesterday at the Old Globe in San Diego (AMAZING), and does anyone know when it's going to Broadway?

I saw it at the Old Globe over Easter, and I am afraid I don't agree with your opinion of the show. I thought that it had a terribly weak book, the second act was disjointed, the last scene was poorly thought out, and although the second leads were absolutely fantastic, I thought Bakula was flat as the male lead, and far too old for his leading lady even with the the pointed explanation in the set up. The very best scene was the Triplets number. They basically threw the Dancing in the Dark number away. Page, however, completely stole the show. He was amazing. I think it will need a LOT of work before it is really ready for Broadway, but I can see it doing a brisk blue-haired matinee business. Such a shame, because it had such potential. But I do believe it is headed for Broadway right away after closing at the Globe, so we shall see how it fares. I think A Catered Affair was better realized.

Of course, those are pretty much the same problems with the film upon which the show is based....

True, Davi, except that the new last scene has a 90 year old Bakula telling young gypsies about how they put on the show in the 50's and having his deceased co-stars show up in spotlights to reprise their act. It was truly awful.
