Dancing in Fiddler- Professional

To anyone who has seen a professional production of this show- how is the dancing? Is it very difficult in your opinion? What is the Chava ballet like specifically? Do the other sisters dance in the Chava ballet- to what extent? I have an audition for a regional production and they will dance us first.. just wanted to get some idea as to what I am up against. Thanks!

I have seen a touring company and I have done the show twice....all the dancing is mainly for the boys(i.e the russian dance in "To Life" and the bottle dance) ...but they might give the combinations to the girls just to asses their abilities..I have seen different versions of the chava ballet...so it really depends on the director..but I think traditionally (at least in the regional production I saw) the sisters do have a little bit of dancing to do...and it is usually basic to moderate ballet...sometimes more for chava...and hodel does a little bit of dancing with perchik in the wedding and in another scene...so she needs to at least be able to move well...and tzeitel (which I've played) needs basic movement skills as well....basically if you can move well and have some training you should be fine..in this show the dancing is mainly for the boys.
