I couldn't find the thread with dance audition advice, or rather with the answer to the specific question I've got. I've got an All Shook Up audition tomorrow. They list being ready to dance on the notice. Now, I'm not a dancer, but I have got my character shoes ready. Can I wear a skirt? Or, as I don't have any sort of dancewear, are jeans all right? Or should I stay away from them?

I'd go more for nice looking athletic wear.

tights, maybe a pair of gaucho pants if you've got them, and a stretchy knit, but nice looking top.

make sure you can move comfortably without having to fuss with everything you're wearing.

Maybe I'm too late on this one, but absolutely do not wear jeans. A skirt can be ok depending on the style, like a dance skirt or something that looks like one with spankies or bloomies or whatever you like to call them underneath. You can get dancewear relatively cheap, especially if you're not too picky and if you audition frequently, you should invest in some.
