Da Vinci Code - THE MUSICAL!

It's only a matter of time before this Louvre/Grail mystery-quest is adapted to the Broadway stage. So here's my casting:

Langdon - Peter Gallagher
Sophie - Sutton Foster

and...
Edina Minzell as THE MONA LISA (she will narrate the story!).

Song will include:

'Hello, Young Louvrers'
'Oh, What a Beautiful Dei'
'Sauniere's Final Saunter'
'Get me to the Abbey on time!'

That's all I can think of for the time being...

I saw that movie on Wednesday. Awesome show. Those are clever song titles. I think it would make an interesting musical. . . just watch out for upset Catholics (no offense intended).

Rolling Eyes

Oh dear God I hope not....

If they make a musical of that, I think I might jump off the deep end.. and I'm not even Catholic XD
CYTthespian

we're making musicals out of everything these days!

please don't let them make one out of this, too.

Very nice.

That would be sad yet hilarious if that became a musical. I'd see it.

Yes--though we may laugh for now, it's painfully imminent...
katieanne

i appreciate your wit. "hello young louvres" made me laugh out loud. but seriously, though, can we please make musicals off original material? the recycling is getting to me.
*leigh*

*falls off chair laughing*

I'd go completely mad though, if it was an actual show...I wouldn't be sure whether to see it and take it seriously or laugh my butt off...

I'd probably laugh my butt off...
Kaaatrina

I just saw this movie, and thinking of it as a broadway musical gives me the goosebumps...

Laughing

That would be weird, though.

Three of us from work went to see it and all 3 of us dozed during parts of it. Laughing

Coming to an ice rink near you...

In the tradition of 'The Little Mermaid' & 'Finding Nemo', the next big-arena event for all the senses:
DaVinci Code ON ICE!

This extravaganza will feature bumbling Parisian Keystone Cops, swirling crypts, and famous framed masterpieces doing figure-eights...all under a giant big-top designed by I.M. Pei himself!

The show's grand finale will be the entire ensemble belting out, "WHO'S GOT GRAIL?...WE'VE GOT GRAIL!"

Lol! Mr. Green

Loved the book, liked the movie, would go after anybody making into a musical with a big stick.

But looks like a parody could be on the cards! Wink
