I'm playing the voice of the plant in LSOH at the local community theatre. We just had a very successful opening tonight, and the whole cast is great. The only thing I'm wondering about is the curtain call.

It seems to me (I can't remember specifically) that whenever I've seen this show, the plant actors (voice and manipulation) each get pretty good bows; near the end, if not the very last bows.

For some reason, not only do I and the manipulator get a pretty early bow (only after the added three-person chorus and the Doo-Wop girls), but we don't even get to do it separately. Does this seem odd to anyone else?

Yes, when my school did Little Shop, the voice of the plant's bow was AMAZING (the puppeteers were part of the chorus so they bowed with them). Anyways, Audrey II's voice bowed last, right after Audrey and Seymour, the giant Audrey II's mouth opened, the stage got dark, and smoke started coming out the plants mouth. And then the guy who did the voice walked out wearing his shirt that said "The Plant" on it, and everyone screamed really loud for him.

When I did it, the guy who was the voice of the plant bowed quite early but he always got the biggest cheer.

Yeah, ours went fairly early. But he wasn't very good so...^^;

Ours was amazing.
