I can definitely recommend visiting this tour. Most of the cast is really good - but there is one star who is absolutely breathtaking and really made me cry. It is Dianne Pilkington as Grizabella. I haven't seen many other versions of Cats (only Czech, Polish and German), but Dianne was simply the best. And if I should compare her with "audio-experiences" from the soundtracks of all over the world, she is still number one for me
The only small disappointment for me was Jemima, who wasn't played by Louise Barratt, but by Carrie Sutton. I was really wondering how Louise would look masked, because according to the official website she has really lovely face. So I'll have to wait whether this tour would visit London too - I would fly there to see Cats again and join them with Phantom
And if I should mention the audio - the music was good, but nothing can beat Polish Koty. I missed especially the violin parts during the Invitation, the Ball etc. But I shouldn't be so demanding - nothing can be absolutely perfect

Have to agree with you there, from what I have heard on the recording Polish Kity has amazing audio, definately my favourite infact!

I saw it recently at the Alambra (sp?) in Bradford. I was in the front row and so nearly got landed on by Macavity when he jumped off the stage...right in front of me...
And this poor kid next to me really got freaked out by Jellylorum when she came right up to him in the Naming of Cats - his mum had to switch places with him, he got so scared....
Skimble rubbed up against my legs when they started to come back after the intermission, and I paw-touched with demeter right at the end...
I would definitely agree with milam in saying that the Grizabella they've got has got the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice I have ever heard. When she first came on, I still had this huge stupid grin on my face from the aftermath of The Rum Tum Tugger (who, by-the-by, seemed to me to be a bit Robbie Williams-ish this time round) by it faded as soon as she sang, 'Remark, the the cat....'. I think I was crying by the end of Memory.
Actually, I was probably crying anyway because I didn't want it to end.
It was the first time I'd seen the show live and I'm certainly going back for more.
