CostumesSome friends and I are going to perform "Never Fully Dressed" (the Orphans reprise) for a showcase and are having some trouble finding adult sized costumes that suggest depression-era orphans. Any ideas?
Pictures?
Also, we would rather NOT sew...unless it was something like patches and it needs to be something you could tap in.

Go op-shopping. Do you have op shops over there? Surely you do. They are wonders for finding cheap costumes, especially old ones. To look like orphans, not as much sewing is required as ripping, defacing and... making-look-neglected!

Op-shopping?
Is that like...vintage shopping? Or goodwill???

Go to thrift stores like goodwill and just do everything you can to distress and ware them out so you look poor and dirty.
