Community Theater Season

So they do three shows for different age groups...

All ages (kids - adults)
The Sound of Music(December show)
Fiddler on the Roof(March show)
The Music Man(June show)

The teen theater is performing:
Urinetown! (December show)
Les Miserables (March show)
The Boy Friend(June show)

I would like to audition for all the shows. SOM I am auditioning for Liesl, The Music Man I am auditioning for probably Zaneeta, Les Miserables I am auditioning for Eponine and Fantine, but the others I'm not sure.

Fiddler on the Roof..I would probably audition for Hodel but I feel like that's going to be a sought out role. I am seventeen and wondering if maybe Tzeital is the way to go? I don't think I'm a good enough dancer to try out for Chava.

And The Boy Friend...I don't know much about. I like the sound of Maisie though.

Urinetown I have absolutely no idea about.

I know I'm preparing way too early but I was just wonderign if the parts I'm trying out for are okay for me haha. I'm a mezzo soprano, belt up to D but mix up till almost the top of my range. I am also an alto...kind of.

Those sound like plausable choices as for characters ... I think it's great! Good luck with the season and I hope you get all the characters you want!

Yes, those choices sound reasonably well thought out. As for Urinetown, if you can mix a G I'd say go for Penny, if not however, even Hope would be a very good choice.

Yeah i second Penny for urinetown Smile
Glissando

My company hasn't announce next season yet, and it's supposed to be AMAZING. We did Footloose last year, and it was considered the best season opener the company has ever done. Our director told us it was bigger than that.

We might find out this weekend. Please, Lord...please. Let it involve Les Mis.

NOTHING wrong at all with being organised!

WOWZA!!! All those shows you lucky devil! Good luck for the auditions my dear! (when they come)

Is this all with one society? I am very jealous if it is!

Thank you all for the replies! I do appreciate it. I know there's a small chance I get into every show, but still...I really want to try.

I don't know whether or not it's a mix for G but I do have a very loud head voice if I want it; like, you can't tell where the break is, so it doesn't feel like belt but it sounds like it if I play it back. Hard to explain!

I was also wondering if maybe I'd be good for Little Sally or Becky Two Shoes, but I'm not aware of their ranges either =/

But thanks for the help everyone!
