Clips from a Community Theater Group's production

Hello,

I am thrilled to have found this forum. For 6 shows 2 weekends in February our local community theater group, which my daughter is part of, performed Cats. It was a great experience.

Here are a few clips from the show, that I took for a DVD that I produced to give to all interested cast members and friends.

It wouldn't play for me until I copied/pasted the link, hit enter a lot and waited a while.

Amazing quality! I liked it very much, thank you for sharing the experience with us. I like the voice of Gus/Growltiger, really talented!

I would have liked to see Mistoffelees in action, but that's just me. ^_^

Wow those are great singers!!! Your daughter is lucky to be part of Cats. And their troup did an awesome job. What Cat is she playing? Would it be Jellyorum, by any chance?

And sorry to ask, but I cannot make-up my mind about the average age of the troup just looking at them. Are they all about 20ish?

Once again, nice clips!

The group itself is celebrating its 75th year of existence. This was my daughter's first play with them so she did not get a major role, she was one of the kittens and mice, but she led the train and was thrilled to do so. She is a Junior in High School and is now getting parts in Community theaters, after being in a number of high school plays, she was Shprintze in Fiddler, and Vera in the Female version of The Odd Couple.

She is now getting ready to send applications off to Musical Theater Colleges.

The age range was 8 to high 60's, most of the lead characters were between 30 - 55, but there were a lot of mid 20's, so your observation was correct.

Thank you all again for your kind words !

Lovely voices there! It's great to finally be able to see some video from a regional.

Wow! That looks like an absolutely amazing production (I really like the make up). And it's nice to finally hear the aria since the only version I've ever seen is the video.
littlgriz

good job

i loved that video its intresting that the cast talkes in this production

Their voices are awesome!! and the costumes are great too! I love Griddlebone's hair fur!!

Although the captions are very far... that's a pity for we can't see very well the make-up or the other characters... Is Jemima the one who sings in the part of the siamese cats or the one who stays beside old Gus?

Do you have by any chance a video of Rum Tum Tugger or The Gumbie Cat? I would like to see them both, in the second I specially like to see Bomba, Jellylorum and Demeter because they sing as if they were some kind of Andrew Sisters Mr. Green
