I really like a monologue I've found from a play adapted from the original novella of "The Turn of The Screw". Now the original novella was written in 1898 but the play was written more recently. Would a monologue from it count as modern even though it's based on classical material?

Whether it's classical or not depends on the year the play was written. And as to whether Wilde is classical or not - depends on the school. Not sure where Mountview stand here, they should say somewhere. If not, call to confirm.
