Christine's Masquerade Costume

Am I the only one that loathes the stupid little lavendar princess dress? It looks like something a hyperactive six year-old would wear on her birthday! All the other costumes are so neat, and beautiful, and intricate, but hers... blah. Neutral

When I saw the show at the tender age of ten I distinctly remember it reminding me of something The Sugar Plum Fairy would wear or something. Laughing

I happen to love the dress. It is reffered to as Christine's Star Princess dress.

Just learned it was called that right after I posted.

It's simply beautiful, like all of the other costumes in Masquerade.

I think it is pretty, but it does remind me of something a six year old or I would wear. Embarassed It does look a bit odd among the masquerade costumes though, but it stands out.

I think it was pretty, but not neccesarily the lead. This is odd, but when I saw it on saturday she was wearing a pink tee length sparkly dress with a bright purple wrap/jacket , and it looked much younger and barbie-er than I thought it would be.

Hahaha, I love that costume! Or..... it depends on the version, really.

As for it being inappropriate or out of character for Christine.... Neeeh. It leans heavily towards 19.th century ballet costumes (which often was an allegory of seasons, feelings or nature-related phenomenons), which I think is proper for a character who up until recently was a ballet dancer. But yeah, it IS pink.... Razz

operafantomnet, I completely agree!

I love the german too!

But, I agree... it reminds me a bit of a costume I wore when I was 7...
I was a fairy!!!! Very Happy

Anyway... I prefer the 2004 movie version.... Wink
